b
a
erf(x) x
dx
to your web page with a simple copy-and-paste operation, you can do so right now!
No need to create gifs for each equation
No plug-ins or special software required -- the utility will run on your web-page right now (provided you have Netscape 3, IE 3 or better).
No client-side fonts or plug-ins necessary to view the equations
No need for the client to reconfigure the brower
Just type in the formula, presss a button, and paste the HTML into your document.
The utility will also allow you to edit the HTML and view the results instantly, if you choose.
Here are the steps:
Download a modest folder of gif symbols called "SYMB" and place it in the same folder/directory as your web page (both Mac and PC versions right here).
Glance through the insructions for formula syntax.
Click here for an on-line Javascript utility that will translate any formula you enter into HTML that you can simply paste into your web page, and you're done. (For example, the above equation was obtained by entering
$I(a,b,$B($F(erf(x),x)),dx)
and pressing the "Create HTML Code" button.)
Note This version of the encoder has been tested on Netscape 3, but may cause problems in Netscape 4. Visit this site again for enhancements, additions, and bug fixes as they are implemented.
